The Second Presbyterian Church

Two events

On Thursday evening, December 4, the annual Sights and Sounds of Newark walking tour of the downtown churches begins at Second Presbyterian at 6:00 pm. This event benefits the Licking County Food Pantry Network.

The following Sunday, December 7, Mike Blowers and Rick Black will present a Christmas Concert of Piano and Organ Duets at 3:00pm in the sancuary of Second Presbyterian Church. The program is sponsored by the Mason/Earhart Music Endowment, and there is no charge for admission. A freewill offering will be taken during the concert to help defray expenses, and a reception will follow in the church dining room.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is pleased to announce that their Saturday evening Worship Developer, Linda Hill Lally will perform an organ recital on Sunday, August 17, 2008 at 3:00 PM.

Linda will be playing music from around the world that is easily accessible to all ages. She will be assisted by pianist and percussionist Barb Watson. This event is free and open to all who wish to attend.

Handbells Columbus

Handbells Columbus will present a concert of classical, sacred and secular music at First Moravian Church of Dover. This outstanding community handbell choir is from the Columbus, Ohio area and is comprised of auditioned and invited ringers who play with enthusiasm and sensitivity on a six-octave set of Malmark Handbells and five octaves of Malmark Handchimes.

The concert will include several selections accompanied by G. Randall Gibbs on the Reeves Memorial Organ. The First Moravian Church is located at 319 North Walnut Street, Dover, OH 44622 Phone: 330-364-8831
