Organ Recital and Compline

Organist Rob Keene (Trinity Lutheran Church, Newport News, VA) will present a 30-minute organ recital for the Eve of Pentecost, followed by a brief service of sung Compline in the church.

The women of the Holy Comforter Choir, along with guests from Christ Church and St. Peter's, will lead the service.

Mr. Keene's recital will include music of Bach, Brahms, Larry King, Arvo Paert, John Cage, Kenneth Leighton, and Gerald Near.

Organ Recital

Organist Jonathan Rudy, a doctoral student from Indiana University, will present a recital at Holy Comforter. Jonathan is an exciting performer, and is in the early stages of doctoral work at IU.

This recital will be a "dry run" of one of his degree recitals that he'll present at IU later this summer, and it will include music by J. S. Bach, Leo Sowerby, Hugo Distler, and Jean Guillou.

The recital will last about an hour.
